How to Create or Change Outgoing Voicemail Messages
Objective
To create or change outgoing voicemail letters for individual extensions or for a Ring Grouping (multiple extensions).

Individual Extensions

Note : Your voicemail cannot be configured in the settings of 8x8's Work for Mobile. You may use the app to call in to your voicemail from your extension, so change your settings using the sound menu as described below.
- Access the voicemail organisation:
- From your own extension: Punch 555 and enter your voicemail password, followed by the # key.
- From another extension in your organisation: Dial 500 , enter your extension number, then enter your voicemail password, followed by the # fundamental.
- Press the * key to enter the Primary Menu. Note: If you have no saved voicemail messages, you should enter the Primary Menu automatically. You can skip this step.
- From the Main Menu, do any of the post-obit and follow the subsequent audio prompts:
- Press 2 to change your greeting. Options include using just your first and final name; setting singled-out internal (on-network) and external (off-network) greetings, and changing greetings to be used at certain times or occasions.
- Press 3 to alter user preference options. Options include: modify voicemail password; call waiting preferences; busy handling; band no answer handling; Internet outage routing; and electronic mail notification preferences.
- Press iv to plant or change call forwarding rules. Options include: listen to, set up, change, or cancel phone call forwarding rules.
- Printing 5 to set a specific greeting for business hours, later business hours, lunchtime, meeting, weekend, and vacation.
- Printing six to enable or disable "announcement only" mode (east.g., your holiday greeting).
- Press 9 to exit voicemail.

Ring Groups

Additional Information
Changes can be made to voicemail settings on the phone through the voicemail options sound menu onlyafterward the initial voicemail password has been set up in 8x8 Admin Console, Work for Desktop, and Work for Web.

Please notation: there is no "default" voicemail countersign. If you have forgotten your password, you lot can reconfigure it in Work for Desktop.
